The second-generation
aluminum frame offers a balance of rigidity and strength that inspires
confidence when riding. Its light twin-spar aluminum construction with
semi-double engine cradle configuration features extruded aluminum
main-frame for an ideal balance of rigidity and compliance over a
diverse range of riding conditions.
For 2001, new side panels feature 20% wider
air-intake openings for improved midrange and high-rpm throttle
response and power. The CR®250R also returns with new styling and
graphics inspired by the Red Rider™ race bikes.

Stiffer
spring rates for the front forks, combined with new damping rates,
improve ride quality over a variety of track conditions.Rear
Wheel:
A beefy 25mm rear axle and
large-diameter bearings help the bike withstand tortuous track
conditions. For 2001, the new lightweight drive chain is three ounces
lighter than the previous design. |
